Ease Mica's Cancer Journey

My name is Rebecca. I met Mica Seely because of cancer. Hers and mine. She helped me through the hardest parts of my journey and now I want to help her. Mica was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2019. She went through extensive treatment and remained cancer free until a recent CT scan discovered cancer on her liver, lungs and colon. Surgery is not an option this time and she is heading into 6 months of chemotherapy starting in October. Chemotherapy is all-consuming. It robs a person of time, health, dignity and agency. The economic toll of cancer treatment is great. Mica will be going to Dana Farber for care. There will be expenses for transportation and overnight stays and her insurance may not cover all of her care because it is out of state. She would also like to supplement her care with an Integrative Oncologist, acupuncture, and other well-being essentials that are not covered by insurance. Mica, with the help of her partner Dave, bravely persevered through her first bout with cancer while supporting 4 children. But no one should have to white knuckle it like that twice. Treatment is not quick. It will take the better part of a year for her to kick cancers ass and bounce back to a functional existence. She is loath to accept help again, but I convinced her to let us all help hold her and her family up. Please give what you can so we can give Mica some peace of mind, at least financially, during this unnerving time.
