Donate to Ease Medical Burden for Jess's Family
Donation protected
If you don’t know me, my name is Jess and I’m a single parent/widow with three amazing children: Hannah, Mia, and Jonny. This month, my family has encountered some fairly serious medical issues, and it has no doubt resulted in mounting bills. We are also faced with needing to make major decisions on how to navigate the future.
On October 4, 2024, my oldest child, Hannah, suffered a seizure that has resulted in an epilepsy diagnosis. This is causing her life to change drastically and suddenly. Once very independent, she has been directed to cease driving immediately and needs another person around for most of her daily activities, especially bathing and anything that may result in serious injury should she have a seizure. We have decided that moving Hannah out of her current roommate situation is a must, and ideally, we want her to be back home with us, her family. This will require the entire family moving into a larger home to accommodate us, considering that we are currently in a small two-bedroom, one-bath with myself and my two younger children.
Additionally, my younger daughter, Mia, was accidentally injured at a concert on October 6, 2024, and it resulted in a broken orbital bone (her eye socket) and multiple breaks to her nose. On October 9, she had surgery to repair her facial injuries.
Currently, we owe approximately $16,000 in medical bills, and they will continue to grow as Hannah’s seizure medication is $900 per month alone, and she needs more neurological testing and ongoing treatment.
Any and all help is needed and so appreciated as I navigate this tough time. Thank you for reading, and best wishes.
