It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news of our beloved mom’s passing. She left us peacefully in her sleep this morning. Over the past 88 days since her diagnosis with stage 4 cancer, she showed incredible strength and courage, inspiring us all with her unwavering faith to Jehovah.

We are grateful for the love and support you’ve shown during this difficult time. We will always cherish her memory and the impact she had on our lives.

Hello, my name is Becky Ramirez, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. I, along with my brothers and sisters are organizing this GoFundMe for our beloved mother, Lucy Robbins who resides in Franklin, North Carolina. On August 8th, mom was rushed to the emergency room with high fever, nausea, and high blood pressure. After several tests, the medical doctors gave us unexpected and devastating news. Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer that started in her gallbladder and has since spread to her liver, and lymph nodes. We were also informed that it will continue to spread as the days pass. Since then, mom has been in and out of the hospital and her gallbladder has been removed along with the infectious severe tumor. Due to this incurable disease, it is with great sadness in our hearts that we inform you that mom has been told by the medical staff that she has 3 to 6 months to live. Our entire family is coping with various feelings and emotions and we cannot make sense of what’s happening.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting or talking with our mother, then you’re aware of her positivity, light, warmth, and love that she radiates as well as how willing she is to always show up for friends and family in a special way. The strength mom has received from faith in and love for her God, Jehovah has enabled her to endure this journey, and we know that God's holy spirit will accompany her throughout this trial. In the face of this shocking situation, mom is going to do everything in her power to get through this as peacefully as possible with the support of her husband, family, and friends. Mom has accepted what lies ahead.

We are reaching out to family and friends to let you know that we are fundraising to help our mom and her husband cover all medical-related expenses. The closest medical facility that has the medical support to ease mom’s pain is about 140 miles round trip in Asheville. We are humbly asking for a small contribution of any amount as this would truly help our mom get the best medical healthcare to get her to be as comfortable as possible during her last 3 to 6 months of her life.
