My Kidney Transplant Journey: A Second Chance at Life
In 2018, my life changed when my kidneys started failing. By July 2019, things got even harder—I started dialysis to remain alive. It was exhausting, both physically and emotionally, but I kept pushing forward, hoping for the day I’d get the call that a kidney was available. At the end of 2019, I was officially placed on the transplant list, and the waiting began.
For over five years, I held onto hope through all the ups and downs, the long hours of dialysis, and the uncertainty of when my second chance would come. Then, in February 2025, that moment finally arrived—I got the call that a donor kidney was available. My transplant was a success, and I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for this gift of life.
Now, I’m in the recovery phase, and while I’m incredibly thankful, the journey isn’t over. The cost of surgery, lifelong medications, and ongoing medical care is overwhelming, and that’s why I’m asking for support. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to me and help ease the financial challenges as I focus on healing.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love, kindness, and prayers. Your support means everything to me, and I’m so thankful to have you by my side on this journey.
