Mommas and Daddies should not have to bury their babies. It’s not supposed to happen. I can’t fathom having to bury my children. But that’s the devastating reality for my friend and colleague, Karly.

Karly and I work together in Pinellas County, Florida, as paramedics. In recent days, Karly unexpectedly lost her daughter, Miyah, who was just 16 years old.
