Donate to Ease Kaisen's Hospital Journey

*MOST RECENT UPDATE* Kaisen will be in the OR this morning getting in a PIC line to make it easier for blood draws and IV medications that he will be on for at least the next 6 weeks. Hayley will have to take this time off of work, so she can continue the antibiotic infusions and blood thinner shots, as he has developed a blood clot so big it can be seen through the skin. While his C-RP levels are going down, he has developed Pneumonia and his lungs are struggling. His leg pain is still unbearable and they have him on high pain medications to help. He went fever free for 48 hours, and then spiked another fever yesterday. He will continue being monitored in the hospital for at least another week, and then Hayley will be off work for an undetermined amount of time to care for him until he is fully well. This family needs all the help they can get, as one income is not near enough!

***UPDATE*** They went in and drained the infection out of Kaisen's left leg. He did great through surgery and his spirits were better Tuesday afternoon! However, they've found a blood clot they have to monitor and manage, now. They are monitoring the inflammation around his appendix and small bowel, and the pain in his right foot, as well. He has also gotten pneumonia, but all the antibiotics he is on should help with that! He still has a long road to recovery!

Kaisen was admitted to AR Children's on Sunday morning with osteomyelitis (an infection in the bone). They started him on antibiotics and nothing seemed to be helping. The ortho decided he did not need surgery to drain the infection on his bone, but the antibiotics weren't helping. On Monday they did an ultrasound of his stomach and learned that he is having an appendicitis, so they scheduled surgery for 2:00 on Tuesday. However, Kaisen is facing some other hurdles before they are comfortable doing surgery.

Hayley, Kaisen's mom, has been with him 24/7 and is running on no sleep and pure stress. All while Andrew, Kaisen's dad, juggles taking care of their other 3 children and the job that he just started. This could not have happened at a worst time. They could use all the help, because they don't have an idea of how long Kaisen will be at the hospital and need to figure out a way to be able to get their other kids to school and taken care of for the unforeseeable future.

They are working with one vehicle right now, so this money would help them with rides to be able to do what they need to do for their other kiddos while Hayley is at the hospital with Kaisen and would allow them to not have to worry about finances while Kaisen is in the hospital.

Hayley and Andrew are the kind of people that would give you their last dollar if it would help you and would NEVER ask for help, but they could use it right now and it would definitely take some of the stress off of them.

Hayley is set as the beneficiary on this, but if you're more comfortable:
