Dear Friends and Family,

Our beloved friend Jess is facing an incredibly challenging time, and she needs our help. Jess is a kind, generous, and caring person who has always been there for others. Her beauty, inside and out, lights up every room she enters. She’s not just a nurse; she’s a dedicated, selfless soul who cares deeply about the people around her. Now, it’s our turn to show her that same love and support as she navigates a difficult road ahead.

Jess has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer, and on March 5, 2025, she will undergo a right hemicolectomy, a major surgery to remove part of her colon. Her recovery is expected to take up to four weeks, during which time she won’t be able to work. As a contract nurse, Jess doesn’t receive pay unless she works, and this extended recovery period means she is facing the loss of income during a time when she needs to focus entirely on her health and healing.

To add to the stress, there’s a concern that her group medical insurance could lapse while she’s recovering, forcing her to pay for COBRA, which would be an additional financial burden. Jess is understandably worried about how this will affect her already tight financial situation.

We want to give Jess one less thing to worry about while she focuses on getting better. Your donations will help cover her living expenses, medical bills, and any additional insurance costs she may face during her recovery. This will allow Jess to take the time she needs to heal and return to work without the constant anxiety of how she will pay for everything.
