Jean has lived with diabetes for almost her entire life and has managed it with strength and resilience. However, it eventually caused kidney failure and now requires frequent dialysis treatments. Gino, always active and hardworking in the construction field, has battled back and knee issues for years, and recently suffered a heart attack.
