Donate to Ease Ira's Cancer Journey

Following the summer, Ira was diagnosed with Anaplastic thyroid cancer. A rare type of cancer that only is diagnosed in 1-3% of cases. . Ira has a good attitude, he is strong, optimistic, and has a supportive family around him. While the prognosis is favorable, this terrifying and unexpected diagnosis has been life-changing for Ira, Becky, Tyler, and Emily.

Ira currently has trachea and feeding tubes, which limit his communication and mobility. He is not able to speak and restricted to his home and hospital, preventing him from being able to work and limiting the amount of time he can spend with his family.

There will be a long road to recovery for Ira, a road that will include treating his cancer while managing his high blood pressure, and planning for the follow-up care and therapy that will follow the cancer treatment.

While Ira has insurance that covers his chemotherapy and infusion treatments, he and his family have expenses that go beyond his insurance, including premiums, co-payments, deductibles, and other living expenses.

We hope to raise money to help offset some of the financial impacts the Altman family has, and will continue to have, while he goes through treatment and therapy.
