Hello, my name is Dawn and I'd like to share the emotional rollercoaster that my fiancé and I are going through.
He is terminal with chirrosis of the liver from fatty liver disease. Every expense for Sean's immediate care transportation medical supplies incontenience products grip bars toilet rails the list is endless has been such a financial burden for us to give Sean the care he needs for everyday living. Gift cards are accepted also. Money can be donated for Sean's care via GoFundme Zelle pay pal or cash app
Helix has terminal cirrhosis stage 4 due to fatty liver disease that he was diagnosed with in his 20s.
As a 45 - year-old man, due to cirrhosis, his health rapidly declines.
On Feb 15, 2025, he was admitted to the hospital in ICU for 7 days due to ammonia build-up in his brain, and he was in a coma. He was admitted for a total of 11 days until released on Feb 26th. He was home a total of 8 days.
On his 9th day home, he was rushed by ambulance due to a toxin build-up again and in a constant state of sleep. Another discharge Thursday and readmittance last night (for a raging infection) in his lower extremities due to a very low protein level, elevated ammonia levels, high sugar, and high blood pressure.
This medical nightmare has taken a tremendous toll on my family financially and emotionally.
From new medication to medical equipment, personal hygiene products, outstanding medical bills that the insurance company won't pay, nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, transportation—the list is endless and continues to grow.
I'm reaching out to our friends and family to ask for donations to help cover all of the things Helix needs on a daily basis.
So far, we are receiving no help for any of these items.
Since Feb 15th, he's been more in the hospital than he has been home.
I'm asking you to consider and donate to the GoFundMe that has been set up for Helix and his care.
I'm also requesting that you share to your social media pages so we can share our story with others.
I ask for continued prayers for our family. We need a village of prayers that'll get Helix well to where he's able to leave a hospital setting or go to rehabilitation or home, whatever they see fit.
Right now, receiving no services has left me to fully care for him 24/7. It's emotionally, spiritually, and physically exhausting to see your loved one struggle with daily living needs.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Please consider and share.
