an update from Gina: My work family is truly a blessing and im so grateful for them. Sometimes God sends you special angels to let you know that he is in fact listening, even to the things you didnt think to ask for.

Saturday I was readmitted into the hospital, my arm and neck were extremely swollen and even though they had cleaned out the blood clots 5 days previously, they all returned and I now have an infection in the space they removed the part of my collerbone from.

I had surgery again late last night to reopen the incision and try to clean the infection. I also have 2 more in the next couple days to try and get this infection under control and to again remove the blood clots.

8 surgeries in 1 month is ALOT I’m super scared and miss my mom so much right now. So I will PLEASE take all the prayers I can get. ❤️‍ #Godismystrength

my name is Nicole I am reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and phlebotomy coordinator , Gina Burke who is going through an incredibly difficult time.

Over the past few months, Gina has undergone back-to-back surgeries to address a serious medical issue. Just as recovery was beginning, new complications emerged she is now battling painful and potentially dangerous blood clots. She has been in and out of the hospital. This has extended her recovery time significantly and added new challenges physically, emotionally, and financially.

As many of you know, Gina is not one to ask for help. She a dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate person who is always there for others. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.
