As a mother, this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

My son David was recently shot twice in a senseless act of violence. By the grace of God, he survived — but he has a long road ahead to heal. David is one of the hardest-working young men I know. He’s always been determined, responsible, and driven to make his own way. But now, he’s facing at least four weeks out of work as he recovers, and the stress of falling behind on bills is weighing heavily on him.

David lives out of state, and while I can’t be right by his side, I’m doing everything I can to help — including starting this GoFundMe. The funds will go toward his rent, bills, and basic needs so he can focus on healing instead of how he’s going to make ends meet.
