Cathy has been thru a lot of ups and down over the last 5 yrs. Over the last 11 months she has had numerous health issues come up and hasn't been able to maintain her PTO at work to cover her next medical hurdle.
She is headed to Mayo in Rochester again for a couple of procedures on Sept. 24th , unless the new surgeon, Dr. Kane here in Fargo go inside with helping her here. She is had 5 operations since January alone been off work for months. time off of work. I am trying to help elevated some of those expenses for her - even just a few helpful donations to cover her stays and the difference between short-term disability and regular wages.
Over the last few weeks Cathy has endured bone pain due to a new medicine, nausea... her bags in her stomach are expensive.. plus every time she seems to be getting ahead something else knocks her down.
Reason for all of this is she is not able to absorb any nutrients over the last few years due to the 4 abdominal surgeries which started with an obstruction, hernias and a surgery gone wrong where to much intestine was taken and mesh that went defective. This time around the feeding tube that was placed in her abdomen has made her pretty big mess in her stomach with infection and rolled mesh and just nonstop leakage. This has also cause her to have intestinal failure and pelvic floor dysfunction. Due to being deficient in potassium, B12, calcium and Iron. Her bone density is only at 22% and change is needed ASAP.
We hope as her friends we can pull together to help her handle the financial stress over the next few months. She has been there for so many of us that I want to be able to help her the best I can.
