Donate to Ease Brenda's Pain

My name is Stephanie Belcher and Brenda Belcher is my mother. Brenda is the hardest working woman on this planet. People always say that about their mothers, but I believe mine works even harder. Our whole lives, we've struggled to keep our heads above water, and only by the grace of God and my mother's hard work and determination have we even made it this far. My mother is 57 years old and still has 10 years before she can retire. Right now, she's been in pain for months over what we believe to be a torn ligament in her leg. She can barely walk but still goes to work every day as a custodian at a school for young adults with special needs because she loves those kids more than anything. She loves her job so much, and she loves those kids, and every day she makes them feel loved. She is so kind and caring, and she refuses to open up about her physical pain except for a few times she's told me how bad it is. We recently went to the walk-in clinic where she got an X-ray that was unable to show anything, which is why we believe it is a torn ligament. The X-ray cost $1500, and we're trying to pay that off. She can only get the diagnosis from an MRI which will cost $1000. I want to ask for more because she's been walking and working for so long she might need surgery. Right now we only need the $1000. Please help us before she gets worse, maybe we can diagnose this before she needs surgery. She is always helping others, and we're praying to God that there are enough people out there who are kind enough to spare a dollar. Thank you and God bless.

Update 4/3/25:

We have received the MRI and we're so very greatful to those that have helped us get there! However, we've also received the results and they're not good. Mom will definitely be getting surgery probably this summer. The MRI showed her meniscus is completely torn off and the bottom of her femur and top of her fibia have been ground away and it's been going on longer than we thought. It's just about almost the worst case senerio according to the doctor. We have a $3000 deductible and I'm raising our asking to that. We will accept anything because we will probably need much more than that but I don't want to ask for more than we need right now.
