To our friends, co-workers, and loved ones, I am asking you to take a few minutes to open your hearts and bank accounts. Our dear Brandy Harris is scheduled for two life-saving surgeries. The surgeries will be performed on September 3rd, as long as Brandy's health is stable. The Bentall surgery will remove Brandy's aortic root and valve and replace it with an ON-X prosthesis. The overlaying veins will then be reattached to the prosthesis. The same-day Bentall procedure will correct the life-threatening thoracic aneurysm and aortic valves.

To know Brandy is to love Brandy! I have personally known Brandy since grade school. Please help me keep her stress levels low. Her sweet heart is going to have a long, hard recovery. Anything you can spare will help Brandy's peace of mind and recovery time.

The main concerns are keeping food on the table for Brandy's growing son Donevyn and sweet cousins Tonja and Christy while they help Brandy recover. The surgeons have told Brandy that she can expect to be homebound for 6-8 weeks. Brandy has an HEB and Walmart nearby. I think sending e-gift cards for food and supplies would be wonderful!

The other concern I have is that her washing machine has bit the dust. Let's make life easier for everyone involved and collect enough donations to purchase a new GE 4.5 cu. ft. top load washer, with cold plus and wash boost, from Home Depot.
