Help Becca and Her Soul Cat, Boubeer, Through the Unimaginable

Hi everyone,

This fundraiser is being created on behalf of Becca and her beloved soul cat, Boubeer.

On October 26th, Boubeer was rushed to the emergency room after showing signs of anorexia and severe lethargy. He also has a long history of nasal discharge and difficulty breathing — something his sweet, pushed-in Persian face has always made a little harder for him.

After hospitalization and a CT scan the following day, Becca received the devastating news every pet parent dreads: Boubeer has an invasive nasal mass that has already spread to his lungs. Treatment options are, heartbreakingly, limited to palliative care. Boubeer will soon return home to spend his remaining days surrounded by love — with his feline sister, Leia, and his devoted mom, Becca, by his side.

Becca is one of those rare people whose kindness and compassion make the world better just by being in it. She’s a brilliant veterinary student, a loyal friend, and someone who gives her whole heart to every animal she meets. Now, she’s facing the kind of heartbreak she’s spent her career trying to ease for others.

As her friends, classmates, and community, we want to rally around her and help lift even a small part of this enormous emotional and financial burden. Between emergency care, diagnostics, and end-of-life expenses, the costs are overwhelming — and no one should have to face that alone.
