We are starting this GoFundMe on behalf of Audra Hernandez and her family.
An UPDATE from the family as of 11/10/2024:
Unfortunately, we are losing Audra and we are now raising funds for services. Anything helps and we thank you soo much for all the support that has already been given. ♥️
Our friend Audra is now fighting cancer for the 3rd time. She is also trying to work full-time to provide for her family. We hope to alleviate some of the financial stress they're currently facing. This will allow her much- needed time to rest and heal her body.
- May 2021 - diagnosed with NET cancer (neuroendocrine), underwent open heart surgery to remove cancerous tumors. Vocal cord was damaged during surgery causing paralysis. First cycle of radiation completed.
- November 2022 - had a vocal chord implant placed, which later failed
- February 2023 - cancer came back on lymph nodes and completed second cycle of radiation treatments
- February 2024 - cancer found on lymph nodes again for the 3rd time. Treated more aggressively with third round of radiation as well as chemotherapy
- September 2024 - identified malignant tumors on pancreas, spine, and pelvis
- October 2, 2024 - fell and fractured her spine, has been in the hospital ever since and is bedridden while she tries to heal.
All of this journey has brought it's share of challenges and set backs, but Audra has remained positive through it all!!
She has continued to show up for her kids and husband, as well as family and friends. She's made it to volleyball games and dance classes however she could. Sometimes she's even danced with a walker. Audra has remained a positive light in so many peoples lives!
Please help us bless this family & alleviate some of the financial stress so she can just focus on healing.
