Take Action for Ashley- Her Fight with Cervical Cancer

My name is Brooke, and I am starting this GoFundMe for one of the dearest, sweetest, most loving people I know. Her name is Ashley Latimer, and her healthcare right now is a top priority.

Starting in February 2025, Ashley began experiencing extreme pain in her lower abdomen. This pain, discomfort, and bleeding continued for the next few months until she had to be hospitalized in June due to other symptoms presenting themselves. She was sent home with antibiotics and nothing else. Come August, Ashley had a horrifying experience in the middle of the night which led her to call 911 for transport to the hospital once again, where she was admitted for three days. Ashley had to have invasive surgeries and tests done to determine the cause of the bleeding and the excruciating, unending pain. A few days after being discharged, on August 15th, Ashley received the phone call no one ever wants to get.

She has Cervical Cancer.

The pain is not only physical, but financially and mentally painful as well. The next steps are to get chest x-rays, a radical hysterectomy, and potentially radiation. The pain is so unbearable that Ashley is unable to work her physically demanding job, which means she is requiring assistance in paying bills such as her car payment/insurance, medical bills, and just assistance affording every-day expenses. So far, she has been out of work for half a month already and has had to leave her apartment behind to live with family in order to have an around-the-clock caretaker.
