Many of you know already, but for those who don’t, Amber has been dealing with chronic migraine headaches for a few years now. After trial and error on different migraine medications, her family doctor decided to do an MRI. Amber got the MRI results back on February 21st, saying that she had a non-cancerous hemangioma brain tumor on the left side of her head.
Within a few weeks, she was sent to Grand Rapids to see a neurosurgeon, and during that appointment, she found out she has to have surgery to remove it. The neurosurgeon also referred her to an NRI specialist to have a consultation before surgery to cut the blood supply off to the tumor to lower the risks of her having a stroke during surgery. Amber's surgery is set for May 15th, and in that time, she will have to be off work for 4-6 weeks recovery time and then have an MRI every 6 months to make sure it doesn’t come back. There is a chance she will have to go through radiation on the spot where the tumor is. Right now, we are crossing all fingers and toes that the doctors get it all during surgery.
Let's help make the stress of money a little less for her and her family.
