Hi all, I'm Erin Crossett, a longtime DC resident in Ward 4. I'm raising funds on behalf of my neighbor, whose name I'm not providing in order to preserve their anonymity. This person has lived in DC for over 20 years, is an extremely hard worker, a wonderful neighbor and friend, and recently has fallen on hard times. Their teenage son recently traveled to DC from Central America. Since arriving a few months ago, they've been in and out of the hospital and undergone two surgeries. My neighbor is undocumented and does not have health insurance, and recently received a medical bill for over $50,000. In addition to medical debt, our neighbor has to cutback on their work hours so they can be at the hospital with their kid.

My husband and I would like to raise funds for my neighbor to pay off their medical debt or, in the event the debt is covered by other means, cover rent, utilities, food, and transport for the next few months until they can resume full-time work.
