Hi everyone!

My name is Dylan and I am asking for help to raise some money for top surgery.

I realise now that I am obviously, clearly, and happily transgender, but only found the words to express myself in 2023 after meeting other trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people. I got the ball rolling and went privately to access testosterone, which I started on December 13th 2024. My amazing grandparents gave me the money to get my gender dysphoria diagnosis via assessment and access an endocrinologist.

Unfortunately my GP wouldn’t offer shared care due to the NHS being over-contracted, so I have been safely self-injecting sustanon. It has been incredible and I am so happy that I am finally on testosterone, seeing changes and truly living as myself.

The next step in my journey is a double mastectomy. I have never been on any NHS wait lists, and even if I was I know the wait for appointments is between 10 and 15 years at the moment to be seen. I work multiple jobs and am a trainee/student counsellor who wants to help other trans/gender questioning people when I qualify. I also have three young children and money is tight.

I have a big chest and this means that I still get misgendered often, and this is really difficult for me. I really need to go ahead with top surgery so I can be happy with my body and live in a more masculine body that’s aligned with my gender identity.

I have decided that I am most likely to go abroad for surgery for multiple reasons. My surgery is likely to cost around 6900 euros, plus accommodation, flights and other expenses. I am not expecting this all to be covered, so I have set a goal of £1000 to help me with this.
