Hello, my name is Autumn and I am asking for help for my husband, Douglas, and myself. Douglas has had health issues years now that seemed to be stable. However last November he was hospitalized for a couple of weeks for a new illness. The side effects have been ongoing and he can no longer walk more than about 10 feet. He is supposed to be off his feet at all times but that is not doable all of the time. He has had multiple doctor appointments since leaving the hospital and because of the side effects that have become more frequent. I do take him to all of his appointments and take care of him at home. It has been a struggle as I am also disabled although not nearly as bad as him and I am able to work still.

In January of this year, I lost my job. Sadly, and I cannot understand how, I have not secured a new position yet. I have applied for what seems like a hundred jobs and gone on interviews, but nothing has been offered. Due to my disability, I am not able to stand or walk for long periods. I would happily work retail or warehouse or any job I could if that were the case. To be clear I will work anywhere I can physically able to work. I want to be working. I believe in earning by working.

We have our cat, Xerxes, and dog, Dreama, that we love so much and do not want to rehome.

We are asking for help for our rent and some bills for the month. We have no income (we are applying for disability), we have no family or friends that we are able to live with.

We know that so very many people are struggling with health and financial issues, so this is not an easy thing to ask.

We thank God for His help and how He has sustained us these many months. We are blessed by our family and friends love and encouragement and prayers very much.
