On November 29 2017 God blessed Jacqueline & Nico’s lives beyond thier wildest dreams. Their new titles became mom and dad!!! They waited 8 months to find out who was in Jacqueline’s belly!!!! After coming in hot at 34 weeks they welcome....... Dino Nikolas Ramirez Dumont Born weighing 3 pounds 8.1 ounces and a whopping 16 inches long at UCSF Beniof children's hospital. He was tiny but mighty.
They have had quite the journey! Dino was born with something called gastroschisis ... an abdominal abnormality that left his intestines growing on the outside of his belly. Right after birth they had to take him and put things back in...
The healing journey has been a rough one for their little fighter.
After recovering from a staph infection a second surgery was performed last week to remove 2 intestinal blockages. The doctors found lots of scar tissue in Dino’s intestinal track. It had to be cleaned out in hopes that he will be able to have normal function of his digestive system.
Because of their love for Dino, Jacqueline has been in SF everyday since Dino was born. Sleeping on a couch in his room or the housing the hospital provides. Nico has been driving to SF everyday after work and stays with them!
Jacqueline is one amazing hair and makeup artist. She hasn’t been able to work and I can only imagine how much gas is costing for Nico to drive there on a daily basis.
