Dear Facebook Friends, It is with sadness that David Walker (my lifelong FHHS Pal) and I, post terrible news about our fellow Fort Hunt Highschool classmate and dear friend, Diane Cope. Diane had recently relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she was searching for employment in the equestrian industry. A week or so ago, she was hit by a speeding pickup truck (hit and run) while walking on a sidewalk in a suburb of Dallas. Diane was seriously injured by the speeding vehicle, which resulted in multiple severe injuries, including many bone/joint fractures. Doctors continue to work diligently to save her injured leg. She was taken by ambulance to ICU at a hospital in Dallas (Fort Worth), where she continues to undergo multiple surgeries for her injuries. Recovery is expected to take an extended period of time. Unfortunately due to recent financial hardships, Diane has limited finances. She is also currently without medical insurance. Dave and I decided to set up a GO FUND ME PAGE for Diane, to help her in her time of need. Before the accident she was working 3 jobs in Dallas to make ends meet. Anyone who can find the goodness in their heart to donate would be greatly appreciated. Remember.... "A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED". Every penny counts! MANY THANKS AND BLESSINGS TO ALL!
