Support Denise Thomas in Her Time of Need
We’re reaching out to our community with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits. Our beloved mom, Denise Thomas, is currently facing a serious medical emergency, and we’re rallying together to help ease the financial burden of her recovery. Denise has always been the first to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or show up when someone needed her.
On September 8, 2025, Denise suffered a brain hemorrhage and a subsequent blood clot, which required an emergency craniotomy the following day. After spending a day in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hermann in Houston, she was transferred to the Neuroscience Acute Care Unit. The hemorrhage and clot left her with partial loss of movement in her left arm and complete loss of mobility in her left leg.
On September 17, Denise was discharged from Memorial Hermann and transported to Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas, where she began intensive rehabilitation—including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Since then, she’s made remarkable progress. She’s regained movement in her left arm and has started to regain some mobility in her left leg. Though she still relies on a wheelchair, she can now move her foot, stand with support, and even take a few steps.
The medical costs are overwhelming, and her road to recovery will be long and challenging. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Your support will help cover hospital bills, rehabilitation, adjusting her home to make it ADA accessible and other essential expenses during this difficult time.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others. Together, we can surround Denise with the love and support she’s always given so freely.
Thank you for standing with us.
