On Sunday 19th October, I will be taking part in the Hampton Court 10k run and I am raising money for the charity Dementia UK. This is something very close to home for me and my family as my Grandad was tragically taken by this cruel disease on April 20th, 2023.

My Grandad was somebody so special in my life and watching him deteriorate over the years broke mine and my families hearts, and you will never understand the pain of watching someone you love slowly pass in the way that my Grandad did. He was a massive part of my childhood and my most fond memories growing up was with him and my nan who I love so much. My Grandad received such amazing care since his diagnosis back in 2019 and we made special new memories with him. It's touching to know that his photo hangs in The Cannon Factory Pub next to the Old Emirates in London. I have attached a photo of this to the page.
