Help Our Mom Heal From Kidney Disease

My name is Katlyn, and I’m asking for help on behalf of my incredible mom, Deana. She is the center of our family, a mom to six children (ages 10 to 27) and a grandma to two sweet grandchildren. She has always been there for us, and now we need to be there for her.

In November 2024, our family’s world was shaken when Mom was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. By April 2025, she had to start dialysis just to survive. Dialysis is keeping her alive, but it’s not a cure — the only way for her to get her life back is through a kidney transplant.

When a kidney match becomes available, we will only have 24 hours to get down to Mayo Clinic in Rochester. After surgery, she will need to stay there for 3–6 weeks for follow-up tests, treatments, and recovery. That means not just medical bills, but also lodging, transportation, and everyday expenses while she heals far from home.

This is where we need your help. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering:

    •    Lodging during her recovery in Rochester

    •    Transportation to and from the Mayo Clinic

    •    Medical expenses related to dialysis and the transplant

Our mom is a fighter. She’s strong, loving, and has always put her family first. Even while enduring dialysis, she’s been there for her kids and grandkids in every way she can. We want her to have the chance to keep watching her youngest grow up and to make many more memories with her grandchildren.
