David Viola Health
As David’s sister, I was heartbroken to learn of his diagnosis of colorectal cancer with metastasis to the liver. It was unexpected, especially since he is only 58 and has always prioritized his health. David exercises daily, lifts weights, and has even been a bodybuilder. Unfortunately, the oncologists were not favorable for a positive outcome. Which has prompted me to research treatment options for alternative supportive health.
David is loved by many, including myself, for his incredible spirit. He has always been active—riding a bike at five and taking apart my brother's moped at seven, though he couldn’t put it back together until he was twelve. He has a unique ability to lighten stressful situations and has always been a caring brother and friend. He has supported those in need in various ways until they were back on their feet.
This experience has profoundly changed our lives, but it has also brought us closer together. Each family member and friend has stepped up to help in any way they can. My sister Lucy is organizing and deep cleaning the house; I am preparing healthy meals, providing vitamins, and making juices; my brother and David's friends will drive him two hours for chemotherapy; and Molly, David’s rat terrier, keeps his spirits up on tough days.
Unfortunately, David's insurance does not cover his chemotherapy costs, as it involves a lower dose specifically targeting the circulating cancer cells in his body. Additionally, supportive treatments to strengthen his immune system, such as Vitamin C infusions and other alternative therapies, are also excluded.
As a self-employed individual currently on oral chemotherapy, David is experiencing significant fatigue that limits his ability to work, affecting his income. With the start of infusion chemotherapy in a few weeks, his financial situation is likely to worsen.
Any assistance, big or small, would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely, Rosemary
