David Field Emergency Medical & Daily Bills
Donation protected
** Update**
As of January 23, 2025
Hello, Everyone! David is still at home recovering. He has Physical Therapy twice a week. He is walking short distances using a cane. He would like to thank everyone that has donated so far!
He welcomes calls and visits!
Update as of 12/2/24
David is home from the hospital and his PIC line has been removed successfully. He is still unable to walk and concerned about his income potential since his Fed Ex job is no longer available to him since they are shutting down the Lexington location.
Visitors and cards and, of course, donations, would be very welcome!
Update as of 11/4/24
David has been at home continuing to rest and recover. He is one month ahead of Dr's expectations and is now able to start putting weight on his right leg. He just found out he will not have a job at Fed Ex to return to in March of 2025 since they are closing the Lexington location for the new facility in Georgetown.
Visitors would be greatly appreciated and with the unknown related to his income and Fed Ex, your financial contributions would be greatly appreciated to financially support him until he gets to his "new normal" and figures out his job prospects in the new year.
*******************
Hello, all! David has been released from UK after being readmitted and finding out he has sepsis in his abdomen & pelvis. An unexpected surgery was performed to help clear out the infection. This is definitely a setback as he now has a PICC line for antibiotics directly to his heart.
He is now back at Cardinal Hill for Physical Therapy and expects to be released to go home around November 13th. He is in room 160 at Cardinal Hill.
If you haven't been able to visit David or send a Get Well card please do so as visitors/friends are certainly welcome to encourage David during this time.
David is supposed to be discharged from Cardinal Hill on Sunday. PT is expected for home visits daily.
Keep him lifted as he continues to relearn how to be more self sufficient with daily tasks we take for granted. He is not allowed to put ANY weight on his right leg until mid-December.
David has now been transferred to Cardinal Hill in Lexington.
David is still in the hospital and well wishes & cards of encouragement are welcome! Mailing address is:

For those of you who know David Field from Lexington, KY and his wonderful family, he has experienced a medical emergency and is facing months of recovery. He fell from his sister Sherrie's roof, trying to repair it before winter sets in. He broke his pelvis, 8 ribs, punctured a lung and he is very blessed to be here because he landed on his head on the asphalt. Currently he is at UK and recovering from his first surgery to repair his pelvis.
I have created this GoFundMe for this family because they are such a loving family and so supporting of not only each other, but those they come in contact with.
David has many friends and is always the one that people know they can count on if they need help.
Please help us raise these funds to aid in his medical bills as well as the day-to-day necessities since he is unable to work and has a long road to recovery.
David, Wanda and their family are truly thankful for all the support they have received since the accident and thank you for your contribution during their time of need.
