Donate to Dave's Battle with Blood Cancer

Hello, my name is Lucy Stabeck. I have been Dave’s friend since high school and have been honored to share the same friendship with his wife, Jean, and daughters, Ella and Sienna.

I am creating this campaign to help this family after Dave’s diagnosis with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a rare blood cancer that occurs when the bone marrow doesn’t produce enough healthy blood cells.

Dave was originally hospitalized in late October until Thanksgiving. Dave has had 2 rounds of chemotherapy. He was able to come home for the Holiday’s but returned to the hospital Jan 6 with a fever indicating an infection. This is a serious problem since has no white blood cells to fight the infection.

Jean has had to take a significant amount of time off from work to support, understand and advocate for Dave’s care during his Cancer fight. Responsibilities continue. Please help if you can.
