Hello! I am setting up this GoFundMe for a very dear friend. She has not had the best luck at this thing called life. Her name is Darlene Reeves. She was born with NF1, neurofibromatosis. This is a genetic disorder that causes uncontrolled tissue growth along the nerves. This growth can form tumors, called neurofibromas, on or under the skin, and can also affect internal organs. NF1 is a progressive disease with no cure, but symptoms can be evaluated and addressed. This has also caused her to have to wear glasses and one eye is partially closed.

She also lost her loving husband in a house fire and was left to raise two small children. She has done so by a hair. She also found out her son has NF1. Most recently, in March, the doctors discovered she had a large mass in her abdomen that was discovered to be cancer. It’s a rare cancer. She had surgery, but they were unable to complete the surgery. The tumor board met a few times and finally decided to go ahead with the surgery. Now they have to decide what to do next: chemo, radiation, etc. As the bills pile up and she is not able to work, money is running out. She is out of sick time at work and cannot keep up with doctor bills and house bills. Please consider even a small donation.
