Danny is a kind, hardworking soul fighting to recover and rebuild after a medical crisis.

After a sudden medical emergency left Danny fighting for his life, he’s now on the slow road to recovery. He’s always been the first to help others — now it’s our turn to help him heal, rebuild, and keep his home.

Danny’s Story

On October 9, Danny’s sister found him barely breathing.

He was rushed to the hospital, placed on life support, and started on 24-hour kidney dialysis as his organs began shutting down.

For days, doctors fought to stabilize him. By October 15, a heart catheterization confirmed no blockages, and the next day, he was finally able to come off life support. On October 19, he was moved to a regular room — weak, confused, but fighting hard to come back.

Recovery will be slow and uncertain, but Danny is showing his true strength — one small step at a time.

Why He Needs Our Help

Danny has no disability pay, sick time, or vacation benefits, and medical bills are already piling up. He’s facing over $5,000 in out-of-pocket expenses so far.

He also inherited a home he’s been trying to fix up for himself and his sister — a home now at risk of foreclosure due to $16,000 in back taxes and urgent repair fines due by November.

After giving so much to others, Danny now needs help from the community he’s always supported.

Danny loves the ocean, nature, meditation, and his pet duck. He’s a Reiki practitioner who shares healing with others and a true believer in kindness and connection.

He’s adventurous, handy, and full of life — a man who hugs trees, rebuilds bikes, and dreams of days spent near the Pacific Ocean. His favorite movie? Pirates of the Caribbean, of course.
