Today, my baby sister (Danielle) got diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m not sure how this is happening, but here we are. We have watched cancer absolutely ravage our family on both sides; few of our aunts have been untouched. We’ve lost too many family members to cancer as it is. You would think with all that cancer that maybe it just won’t get the ones closest to you, but cancer doesn’t pick or choose like that. It doesn’t care that you’ve taken hit after hit, that you’re scared for the worst.

I don’t want my sister to have to worry about anything while she’s undergoing treatment. I don’t want her to be concerned about missing work because she doesn’t feel good, or being able to pay rent if she has to take time off. I want her to focus on healing, regaining strength, and getting her life back on track. She is so young and still has so much life to live, cancer-free. She would never ask for this type of help, so I will. Any prayer, words of encouragement, or donation are appreciated more than you will ever know. Thank you to our support network and beyond!
