I hope this message finds you well. Today, I’m reaching out to share something deeply personal about my brother, Dan Larke, and the incredible challenges he and his wife, Heidi, are facing. Recently, Dan was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) of the throat, and it has turned their world upside down.

What started as a persistent tonsillar infection led Dan to an ENT, where he received the heartbreaking news: tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma. Sadly, the cancer has spread to surrounding tissues, making it extremely difficult for him to eat and swallow, and even affecting his hearing. He’s lost a significant amount of weight, and the emotional and financial strain of this journey is taking its toll on both him and Heidi. They’re navigating this battle together, but it’s been overwhelming for them.

Dan has identified a reputable cancer center (Immunocine) known for its success in using Immunotherapy to treat squamous cell carcinoma with minimal side effects. He’s been accepted for treatment starting in late October, which is a huge relief—only a small percentage of applicants receive this opportunity. However, the costs of Imaging, labs, treatments, and travel are significant.

This support will help cover Dan’s treatments, travel expenses (including several flights), and living costs, allowing him and Heidi to focus on healing rather than the financial burden.
