Hi, my name is Damen Gordon. I am one of the many unhoused people in Chicago, and I am also Deaf. I’m trying to fly home to Kenya to visit family. My tickets each way cost $1675, so $5,000 in airfare. The rest of the funds will be used for food and shelter for my two-month stay, as I won’t have the support of the people who usually help me in Chicago.
