hi :) my name is Cyrus, I’m 20 years old and I am desperately trying to pay for my upcoming top surgery on July 7th!

A little background for those who don’t know, I’ve been out and living as an FTM individual since I was 15, but I’ve known something was up my whole life and could finally put the words to it for myself at age 12.

For me, top surgery is something I’ve always thought of longingly, not really considering it as even a possibility. I watched my favorite trans YouTubers go through the surgery and talk about their process, saving lists of things I would need for recovery even though I was nowhere near close enough to getting the surgery (I was thirteen, like come on.)

And now I have found a surgeon with great results, the only problem is that they do not take insurance.

Getting this surgery is not something that feels optional to me. Like for many trans people, gender affirming care is life saving, and that is exactly what I consider this surgery. With the way the world is going, I’m terrified that I won’t get another chance to take this step and finally feel comfortable in my own body.

So that is what this GoFundMe will go to, covering the cost of my top surgery to help me feel like me.
