A Courageous Mother’s Fight Against Breast Cancer

My name is Maria Bennett, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read the story behind this fundraising effort. My family and I have been blindsided by a breast cancer diagnosis. My beautiful, sweet, and loving daughter in law Curtlyn Sheats has been diagnosed with late Stage 2 early Stage 3 HER 2+ breast cancer. As you can imagine, this diagnosis is an incredibly difficult challenge for her and our entire family, especially as she is a loving mother of 2 young children, who rely on her every day.

Above all, we covet your prayers for healing for our girl!!! We love her so much and need her with us for years to come. As Curtlyn embarks on her treatment journey—including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation—the emotional and financial burdens are undoubtedly going to become overwhelming. Not only is she facing the harsh realities of cancer treatment, but she is also trying to be there for her children, Addy and Fisher, and her fiance, Awsten - who need her more than ever. Between medical bills, daily expenses, childcare, and the many other unexpected costs that arise during treatment, the financial strain is one worry I don't want her to have.
