Donate to Cristie Jolivette's Family Recovery

I had the pleasure of meeting Cristie Jolivette and her daughters at the end of 2023 in Houston, Texas. I love her kids as if they were my own, so I felt compelled to create this fundraiser for her family. She is a very special thoughtful human being who is trying to hold her family together by herself . Her spirit is strong despite the challenges she and her family have faced the last year .
Recently, the roof in her house started leaking in the kitchen and living room. The owner was not able to make the necessary repairs to keep her and her kids safe and in a sanitary environment. The ceiling has damage in the bedroom but transplant expenses take precedence at this time . She and her kids are making frequent trips to Houston for treatment and other routine appointments while having transportation issues . Out of work for the past year as a single mom she decided to start a business so she could prioritize her child’s frequent appointments . She goes above and beyond for her kids . The transplant journey comes with its share of expenses that insurance does not always cover, but somehow she still manages to find a way through her faith . I have witnessed just how amazing of a mom she is and I understand why it’s so hard to ask others for help . Her dedication to her kids has inspired me to create this fundraiser on their behalf .
Her daughter’s heart transplant journey began in the fall of 2023, which led to some financial struggles that Cristie didn’t feel comfortable disclosing to the public. She thought it might in some way hinder her daughter’s chances of getting a transplant, so she tried her hardest to hold things together, especially financially in that first year . She is a strong person who has dedicated her entire being to being there for her kids despite the circumstances she has faced. Her faith and resilience are inspiring to so many, especially me, so I couldn’t sit by and do nothing.
I know she’s hoping once her daughter is stronger and appointments start to lessen, she’ll be able to limit how much she goes back and forth. For now any donation size is appreciated .
