Hi everyone,

My name is Lindy. As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in December of 2023. I was 2 1/2 months postpartum, having just had our first child in October 2023. Because of my diagnosis, I was unable to go back to work, and I am now on permanent disability.

Thankfully, my wonderful husband has been working this whole time. Rey has been able to provide for us, as well being flexible enough to take & pick me up from my many hospital stays/appointments. We have been able to keep up to date with most of the monthly expenses (thanks in part to family and friends) and now it’s come to a point where my husband is unable to work at the moment because of attending to family matters.

Unfortunately, on 5/20, we took our son into the ER for what we thought was maybe constipation. After X-rays and ultrasounds, they found out that our 1 1/2 year old has about a 5 cm mass growing behind his heart. We are not sure if it is benign or malignant, as we are waiting for results from his biopsy to come back. Needless to say, we have both been living at the hospital 24/7 with our son, and we will be here for the foreseeable future.

We are extremely lucky in the fact that throughout my diagnosis, and all the health problems that came after, we have been ok financially. But now with Rey not being able to work, we are asking for just a little bit of help.

As everyone knows, times are crazy, and extra money is hard to come by. We are so extremely thankful for a little bit of help anyone can give. Thank you all so very much.
