Help Us Build the Ultimate Fancy Chicken Coop for SilkieTV!

Hey Farmpit Fans!!

We are reaching out to you with a unique and exciting project – we want to build the fanciest chicken coop ever for our beloved SilkieTV stars!

Why the Fanciest Chicken Coop?

Silkies are not your average chickens. With their soft, fluffy feathers and sweet, docile personalities, these chickens are special in so many ways. However, their delicate plumage and temperament require a higher level of care and protection. Unlike other breeds, Silkies need extra warmth, shelter from the elements, and a safe environment to thrive. We can't just throw them in the with the "real chickens". And let's face it – if we're going to give them the care they deserve, why not make it fancy?

We want to create a cozy, stylish, and super functional chicken coop that will provide:

• Weather Protection: Silkies have soft feathers that aren’t waterproof, so they need a dry, warm space to stay safe from rain, snow, and wind. Our coop will include insulation, proper ventilation, and a sturdy roof to protect them year-round.

• Comfortable Living Space: Silkies are small and gentle, and they love cozy spaces. We plan to build a spacious, comfy area with soft bedding, enough room for them to roam, and plenty of little hideaways to feel secure.

• Style and Elegance: Why settle for ordinary when we can have fabulous? We envision a coop with elegant, detailed craftsmanship—think quaint windows, decorative accents, and a touch of whimsy that fits our lovely, feathered friends' charming nature. We would like to eventually add streaming cameras in to the enclosure so you can watch your favorite semi-sentient air plants thrive!

• Protection from Predators: We’ll use high-quality materials, including reinforced wiring, sturdy doors, and secure fencing, to keep our Silkies safe from predators, such as raccoons, foxes, snakes, and hawks.

What We Need

We’ve already found the perfect spot for the coop and have a design in mind, but we need your help to make it a reality. Here’s what your donation will go toward:

• Materials: We want high-quality wood, insulation, roofing materials, hardware, and predator-proof wire mesh.

• Building Supplies: Tools and equipment needed for assembly, including nails, screws, paint, and finishing touches.

• Streaming equipment and general nonsense: Do you want the chickens to have a chandelier in your name? Sponsor one! Do they need a drum set? Fund it!

Why It Matters

Our Silkies bring so much joy to our lives and the lives of everyone, however, they need to be moved from their current location due to reasons we don’t want to get into right now. They each have their own little quirks, and we want them to be as happy and healthy as possible. A fancy, well-designed coop is more than just a shelter—it’s a sanctuary for them to thrive in. It’s a space where they can lay eggs, roost comfortably, live their best lives and make lots and lots of little fluff balls.

Plus, this coop will last for years to come, ensuring our Silkies are safe and comfortable no matter the weather!

• Donate: Every dollar counts! No amount is too small or too big! We are pretty tight on funds these days and building an enclosure that is safe and protected enough for them is a costly endeavor. Anything extra will go towards other HFG nonsense.
