On Sunday, June 8, my baby girl Darla was taken to urgent care and subsequently sent to the ER. As a result, she had to have emergency surgery to remove fluid in her abdomen and two masses on her liver, including a cyst that caused all the fluid. She’s making a decent recovery, and I would like to raise funds to cover her surgery. My baby girl has often been the reason I’ve been able to get up on some of my darkest days. I must say that I have tried on several occasions to obtain pet insurance, but due to her breed and age, along with financial restraints, I was both unable and often denied coverage apart from preventative services.
