Hi friends near and far!

Our dear friend Stephie (Stephanie Cook) needs our help!

Her baby boy, Bayou, recently had to have emergency surgery (after his first vet visit missed the issue). After going to the emergency vet, the doctor did an ultrasound and found something blocking his intestines and fluid in his abdomen. The also found a mass the size of an egg(!!!) on his spleen. And nodules on his liver.

Bayou had to be taken to a second emergency vet for the surgery that left him without a spleen, 24 staples, but with the blockage removed. They also took a biopsy of his liver to check to make sure its not cancer.

Thankfully, Bayou made it out of surgery and is home resting with his momma :)

As any dog parent (well any pet parent!) would do, she chose to save his life knowing that the vet bill was going to be $$$$$. I mean, he is her baby!

I've known Stephie since I was 13/14 yrs old. That's over 25 years! She has always been a caring, loving friend. And she has always stepped up to help friends and others.

I know people have been strapped for cash lately, but I can't at least try to help alleviate some of the burden. Bayou is her family, and our family too. They need our help.
