Hi, my husband Gary and I, Christine are Cory Evans parents.
Cory also has a younger brother, Kevin.
Cory, age 30 suffered a Ischemic Cerebellar Stroke June 12, 2025. He was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital ED by ambulance and admitted to the Progressive Care Unit where he stayed til June 18, 2025 and returned home.
He had multiple CT scans, MRI’s, Ultrasounds, and X-rays of the Head/Brain/Neck/blood vessels and Heart. Bloodwork everyday, Physical Therapy, and several doctors trying to figure out why, how and what caused such a young person to have this type of stroke, very unusual.
Cory’s side effects from the stroke are constant headaches, very tired, off balance, dizziness, eyes are light sensitive and focus is not right, left hand numbness and weakness, and left leg lagging.
He is on 12 different medications daily, Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy both twice/wk..
Bloodwork, other testing, Neurologist and Primary Care follow up visits..
Cory has a long road ahead of him, his recovery time is unknown and depends on how well his body responds to medication and therapy..
He is employed by Chewy, Hanover, PA, as a Maintenance Technician, and of course can’t work now, but he’s very determined to get well and get back to work!
We would GREATLY appreciate your help with whatever you can donate to help with Cory’s medical bills.
Thank you and please pray for our son to recover and live a long healthy life!
