In December of 2023, our family received one of the worst news. Our mother was diagnosed with cancer. Following that diagnosis, we tried for 5 months to get her the treatment she needed. We went back and forth with the medical coverage; she would have medical for a month and then lose it again, have it for a week and then lose it again. It was a tough time for all of us.

Unfortunately, due to this back and forth and her not getting the treatment she needed, she decided to return back home to her brothers in Mexico, where they accepted her with open arms and all the support she needed. The day after her arrival, our mother was already seeing a doctor and started with chemotherapy that same day. They diagnosed her with stage 4 breast cancer, and we are forever grateful and thankful for her family and team of doctors that have helped her. She did 7 rounds of chemo, then had a surgery with a slight complication, then had to endure 30 days of radiation and is now entering the last part of her treatment journey.

As many may know, cancer treatments are very expensive, especially when they are being paid out of pocket. Collectively, her family over there and our family here have worked so hard to pay for her treatment up until now, but for this last part, we need your help.
