Hey! My name is Colin, and in October I'll be running my fifth marathon in Bar Harbor, Maine. This time, I'll be fundraising for the American Cancer Society.
A few years ago, my dad had five stents surgically installed in his heart to combat the effects of radiation treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma he underwent as a teenager. Earlier this year, my mom had her left leg amputated in order to remove a malignant tumor around her knee.
I say that to say this: everyone has a story. Cancer, as the ancient saying goes, sucks. So, please: donate what you can, even if it's only a dollar. And please share this with your family and friends.
Thank you so much!
Update: wow, wow, wow. You helped me reach my original goal of $1,000 in less than a day. And so I'm upping my target to $5,000--and I'll be matching 10% of whatever we raise up to that point. Thank you again.
