Hello everyone! . My name is Cody. I'm 33 years old, and a single father of my biggest cheerleader/best friend/daughter, Lyric. I was in an accident around 4 months ago where I split my femur in half and fractured my spine. I fell 50 ft. I'm lucky to be alive by the grace of God.. A near-death experience will change you. I've always been a loving and kind-hearted man. But I came to realize while I was bedridden and trying to learn how to walk again that I was barely making a living doing one 9-5 after the other. My real passion is music. It is in my family blood. But let's face it, that isn't a promise and I still need to provide for my baby girl and do something she can be proud of. I have always loved to cut hair, and I've become pretty good at it over the years. It's not hard on me considering the left side of me is metal lol. So I went for it and I got accepted to barber school. It's not going to be easy paying for all the things I will need to assure I will have the best chance at being successful in this. Nothing is for certain in this world but I do believe this is my calling and will be the last job I'll ever have . I have been off work since my accident and have not been able to receive any help from the government. I personally have never been one to ask the government for help. But if there was a time to, I believed it was now. I need and want this to work out for me and my beautiful 10-year-old. I want her to see her dad come out of this tragic situation and show her that if Dad can do it, she could too, God forbid she ever have to. Any donation will help. I love you all. I love God. And if you can't donate to my cause, that is ok. Thank you for taking the time to hear my story and maybe it will inspire someone else to set a goal and go out and make it happen.
