In January of 2025, the day before her mother's funeral, Cindy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As a result of being hospitalized, she was unable to attend the funeral services. Cindy is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and this new diagnosis comes with a heightened sense of alarm.

Cindy has worked in a healthcare environment, devoting her time to the elderly in nursing homes for many years. She has been a CNA, manager, cook, and more! It has been the source of her happiness to see those people thrive in their later years. Cindy also has a daughter, Jessica, who has blessed her with two beautiful granddaughters.

Due to the nature of her treatment, Cindy has been unable to work. With expenses everywhere being extremely high, it is becoming difficult to pay bills (medical included). She's also on a special celiac diet, which requires her to buy organic and gluten-free foods that are more expensive than what she would normally purchase.
