I'm Cindy Zimmerman, a longtime artist and activist with an urgent request for support in creating a Mobile Monument for use in public events. New York Times reporters have compiled a list of nearly 300 words and phrases that were disappeared from official websites during the first 2 months of the Trump administration.
Mobile Monument protects and proclaims these words, in print and in voice. It will first be deployed in the June 14 events surrounding Donald Trump's birthday and the military parade he is creating for himself.
Time is of the essence, so construction needs to be quick, rough, and cheap. The words will be printed on an 8’ tall locally fabricated obelisk, constructed with lightweight, inexpensive materials. A state-of-the-art sound system will publicly proclaim the words. The siren shape on top will be a modified cheerleader megaphone. The entire structure will be mounted on a heavy-duty garden cart.
Funds will be used for materials and workers to put everything together.
