Hi everyone.

My name is Christina. I love spending time with my family & friends, camping, cooking, going to the beach, and more! About a year ago, my health started to decline rather quickly. We couldn’t figure out what was going on. I started to have to use a walker due to numerous falls because my legs would just give out on me. Then the chest discomfort and dizziness started happening more often and became more intense. My significant other, Gary, and I continued to work full-time to pay our bills. My doctor appointments became more frequent until I was hospitalized. The diagnosis? Silent heart attack was the consensus. I have 3 blockages: 1 at 100% and 2 at 70%. I will be undergoing a triple bypass surgery. I am also a type 2 diabetic. I have to do at least 4 weeks of Cardiac Rehab in order to be strong enough to have the surgery. Unfortunately, my kidneys are only functioning at 40% right now. Gary and I have completely changed the way we eat to help with that issue.

All of the doctor appointments and rehab mean that I am currently on FMLA leave to focus on my health. We are struggling to pay for rent, utilities, and food. Any help is greatly and sincerely appreciated until I get back on my feet. Thank you so, so much.
