Chrissy wants her story told, her journey shared. She’s a mom to her 1-year-old Hazel. She didn’t birth Riley, but she’s a mom to him too, and she’s carrying a baby boy. 19 weeks to go to full term.

Back in October, she started having a slight pain in her chest/breast area. Drs never found anything to cause concern. As the months have rolled on, the pain became more frequent. More Dr visits and tests, but still nothing. She had a blood test to check for Down Syndrome for the baby. When it came back, it was not good for her. She was sent to Maryland to the NIH Center and had a full-body MRI. The results have been devastating for Chrissy and everyone that loves her. She has a huge mass on her left lung. She visited an oncologist in Greenville last week and was told it was either sarcoma or a plexi nerve sheath tumor. We don’t know which, and she is still waiting for a biopsy spot.

Chrissy has handled all this like a trooper. I don’t know how she stays calm about it. We don’t know what tomorrow may bring, and there’s no plan yet for Chrissy or her unborn son. Chrissy and Hazel both have Neurofibromatosis 1, and from what I understand, it has a big role in this mass. Chrissy’s health is declining daily. She has trouble breathing, she’s in pain, and she’s weak. Please pray for her! We need Chrissy here and healthy. I will be posting Chrissy’s journey so maybe we can bring more awareness to cancer and Neurofibromatosis 1 while pregnant.
